Not the best of draws, but not awful either. Peers did look pretty good in that surprise doubles run with Laura at the Aussie Open, but I don't see her as anything particularly special at singles at the moment.
Still definately make Peers favourite and it would be a very good win if Dani pulled it off.
Isn't it fantastic that Aus can get 22 players into a 25k L32?! I guess geographical isolation is something to do with this, but even so... I guess the profusion of home 25ks is partially why Aus have so many girls ranked in the 500s and 600s - a couple of R1 wins and they're in a position to launch a career elsewhere. Not an opportunity many of our girls get at home.
