A fair amount of British interest here. Weirdly Jade Curtis is in qualies, is she a late entry? I thought she was down to play this but withdrew, maybe whatever was wrong in USA wasn't as wrong as she thought?

Danielle had some decent results in Tennis Europe under 14 events last year, but it is a big step-up to this tournament. Hard for any of them to gain points in these Portugese events with such big qualifying draws.

Thanks for the info smile It will be interesting to see how she fares. Totally agree about these Portuguese tournaments, if you're in qualies then you have to win an awful lot of matches just to fight for a chance to get one measly point. However that said there is clearly something good about these tournaments (cheap flights? well organised?) as there is always a large contingent of Brits competing in them.

There's a website for this one which has been a little quicker with the results than the ITF site so far.

Jade C and Hannah (playing each other), Steph, Catriona and Ruth progressed yesterday.

I saw Jade in the University of Bath gym last wweek training. She was looking slightly leaning. Not sure whether it was a good or bad thing. Obviously had a training block.
