L32: (1) Josh Goodall WR 291 beat (WC) Almog Mashiach (ISR) WR 877 by 6-2 6-7(6) 7-6(7) L32: Marcus Willis WR 590 beat Mao-Xin Gong (CHN) WR 538 by 0 & 4
L32: (8) David Rice WR 521 v Amir Weintraub (ISR) WR 579
Another dodgy performance from Josh, getting taken to 9-7 in the final set tiebreak by a player ranked in the 800s and at his career high (and he isn't an up-and-coming 18-year-old or anything like that) but again at least he got through.
Looks like Meatball's back with a vengeance though, which is good to see!
R2 opponents will get decided tomorrow, but Marcus will play the winner of Dr No's match.

Not a great couple of days overall, though this tournament has been better than the others in the sense that we have at least got two players left here!

Josh has been dodging the bullet here all week, only just beating two players outside the top 600, and it was 3rd time unlucky when he met a player just inside the top 600.
