Hopefully Eaton can play well here and carry on his early form of 2010.

Im not sure if the courts here are quick, i know they're outdoor. He qualified here last year in a big challenger so hopefully he liked the courts and has decided to come back.

Really want him to put up a fight for a DC spot.

I reckon Anderson will probably beat Eaton, so any win Eaton gets is a bonus :)

Good on Chris for making the trip here that one or two others might have considered.  I really do hope that he at least gains some ranking points from this.

While he wouldn't to me currently be in Davis Cup selection thoughts, he is at least potentially putting himself in the shop window re Davis Cup if he was to achieve some real results here and if that is deliberate on his part all credit to him.

People are aware that Chris's opponent is Andrew Anderson, not Kevin Anderson, aren't they?

Yes! smile

I saw Chris play with him in Manchester in the dubs - almost identical in their gameplans, exert maximum attention in trying to serve big and then taking what, if anything, came back at them from there..

Anderson saved all 3 break points he faced in the 1st set. Just the 1 break point which Anderson took. Anderson winning big percentages of points on his serve.

Eaton has to serve well in the 2nd and try and edge a break.
