He doesn't - he has now completely dropped off the system. Regarding his disappearance, I presume he was another that realised that he wasn't ever going to hit the big time so decided to pursue other interests - could be totally wrong though, anyone aware of David having had a long term injury?

But they have given him a seeding and a ranking on the drawsheet, how bizzare!!
I noticed last week David is down on the list of entrants for the British Tour event this week.
I saw Brewer's name among the seeds and though "what?!" too, but didn't have time to check until now.
David's last points dropped off at the end of July and he doesn't have a doubles ranking any more either.
I started thinking about possible reasons for them making an error, but none of them check out:
1) 1359 isn't even a valid ranking at the moment (there are lots of players in 1349=, of whom Flan is the only Brit and David Jeflea the only David), so they can't have just put the wrong name next to the correct ranking.
2) Brewer was ranked 1359 once - on 9 March this year, but they haven't used that ranking list by mistake because the rankings of the rest of the top 10 seeds are correct.
A very mysterious mess-up then ...

Idea of a 'Reserve WC' also seems an odd concept to me...as if 1 of the 4 doesnt pull out, which would seem likely, you miss out on quali
It is rather strange, but Pauffley must have had the choice of playing quailfiers if he wanted to, and must have accepted this position.
I think (hope) it's more likely that Matt scraped a DA at the last minute (he was 3rd Alt) so Neil knew he'd got a WC before qualifying sign in and that's why he didn't enter qualifying.
