British 1990's

We have a strong group of 90's and in a couple of years i would like to see them breaking through and hopefuly into the top 100.

I was just wondering people's thoughts on:

Evans
Smethurst
Cox
Willis
A Ward
Pauffley

Whos got the most potential?

I personally think Evo, smethy and wardinator will be the best in the futureon what I've seen.

I was quite impressed by Pauffley when i saw him i wrexham, dunno if hes top 100 material but much higher than hes ranked now.

I saw Dan Cox when he was 15 and was very impressed, just a shame hes only 5'6 as i think thats going to hold him back.

Based on results to this day you'd think Evans will be the best shot but on the bigger stage Queens, Wimbo and Davies Cup hes not been good.

Haven't seen the other three.

What we need is all 6 to push each other up and up and up. Add in the 10 other guys ranked 400-700 and they all should be pushing for top 300 at least.

I saw Willis at Roehampton, he's got a very good serve, is strong physically and looked to have a good backhand (slice and topspin). I would like to see him work on making his forehand bigger, i don't see why he can't go far

when i watched Evo play Davydenko he hit his forehand quite flat, but at DC he seemed to be almost moonballing it - id like him to go back to the flat version. He has a great backhand but needs to let loose on it more often, he seems a bit cautious sometimes. His touch on his volleys is very good but his serve is a little bit horrific. If he improves that i think he'll make t100

Coxy moves well and has a good backhand, but he doesn't have Marcus's power and i don't think he'll find it as easy as Evo does to break people down - he looked like he will get into a lot of slugfests and im not sure how far he'll get in the sport

The 1990 crew are defniitely the best year of the years round about them.

Of them all though, I still only see  possibly Evo breaking the top 100 by say the end of 2011.  And even with him I have some doubts, which I have exprssed elsewhere so won't repeat again.

They all have some considerable way to go and improvements to make if they are ultimately to be top 100 players.

Some of them indeed probably won't ever make that, but hopefully more do then don't.

Indeed just possiby say a couple will find much more in their game compartatively later and really move well up the rankings.  But that is for the years to come to tell us and at the moment there are no guarantees with any of them.
