She should be a slight favourite for that.

(Although looking at her ITF profile, her height advantage could be a bit of test wink )

After this, should be Spears, Johansson and Morita - all winnable. Johansson will be a good test of how she's come on - that's the kind of player any top-100 girl should be beating comfortably.

Good chance to get a nice win in the 1st round. Should beat Spears as well.

If shes going to stay top 100 for lone a semi at leats here me thinks.

I trust they will provide Katie with a chairlift for the handshake smile

Her opponent was a top junior (11 at the start of the year) but has struggled to make the transition, so it's a good draw.

Katie will slip to 101 in the rankings tomorrow.

She is defending 32 points from Barnstaple last year, so if she justifies her seeding and reaches the SF she will get 80 points which should see her back in the top 100. A QF appearance will see her gain 40 points and it will be in the balance.

Katie has actually stayed at 98th in the rankings this morning, which is nice to see.

As Wolf says, she is  defending 32 points and would drop 18 points net this week if she didn't add, which would then put her top 100 place in real jeopardy.

However, she surely will pick up points here and as decent a haul as she is capable of can establish her more in the top 100.

A semi final and 80 points here, as well as almost certainly keeping her in the top 100 for now, would actually probably be enough to keep her in the end of year top 100 since she would only be able to lose 4 points net before the end of the year.

Be great, though, if she can keep adding to these points.

Johansson is out so a smother ride to the semis but Doi could be a problem, she was a decent junior.
