Brits in world top 100s - singles and doubles

Although their ranking points are unchanged, both Olivia and Heather have slipped out of the doubles top 100. Olivia down 3 to WR 101, Heather down 7 to WR 107

I think it may have already been mentioned elsewhere that Liam is into the singles top 100 for the first time, up 10 to WR 93 following being RU at the St Tropez Challenger 75  biggrin

Olivia has also sneaked back into the doubles top 100, up 2 to WR 99.

One in, one out of the men's singles top 100. Jack's France Challenger RU sees him rise 14 places back into the top 100 at QR 92. Liam drops points from an Israel 250 QF last year and falls 11 places to WR 104.

There is a chance Liam may return to the top 100 in the next rankings on Monday week ( even without adding points himself ) though we are quite likely to lose a couple of our women doubles top 100.

With the WTA updating their rankings at 09/10 Lissey and Olivia have dropped their 100 ranking points from the Ostrava 500 last year. They are respectively down 5 to WR 103 and down 10 to WR 109.

Liam sneaks back into the top 100, no points change but still up 4 places to WR 100. And that is quite a significant step, as Steven has posted :

"A few of us have been going back and forth on this on Twitter and we believe this is the first time there have been 5 British players in the ATP singles rankings for 45 years, since 16 January 1978, when if you look at the ATP history, there appear to have been six but one of the 'British' players on the list, Colin Dowdeswell, was still playing or Switzerland at the time."

Liam sadly falls back out again tomorrow. But no doubt will get back in again soon.

Hey ho, Liam slips back one place again to WR 101.

Heather's WTA 125 doubles RU sees her rise 18 places into the top 100 at WR 88.

Jodie drops 3 places to WR 102 but meanwhile Liam is back into the top 100, up 8 to WR 100 following his qualification and R2 in the Hong Kong ATP 250. Hopefully he will be fit to get back on court again quite soon.

I didnt know where else to ask this question so I dropped it in here. I was wondering if you knowledgeable people could help me as I have tried to google search this many times over the past few years, but I can never find a list for this.
What I want to know is the highest ranked ever British men and women tennis players.
I know recently Emma reached number 10 and Joe Konta reached number 4, but the only other player I can remember would be Jo Durie who I believe reach number 5.
Obviously, Andy and Fred Perry stand out on the mens side as world number 1s.
A list or link of all previous british players in the top 100 would be hugely appreciated.

Starters, Virginia Wade number 2 1975, won three slams and Sue Barker number 3, won the French. Anot Jones number 2 as well.

I should admit I remember watching them play at Wimbledon on the Beeb with commentary by the late great Dan Maskell.

On the women's side, there is a wealth of ranking statistics regarding the top players in the rankings part of the WTA Official Guide:
https://wtafiles.wtatennis.com/pdf/publications/WTA24MG_RecordBook.pdf.
British players to have made the top 10 have all been mentioned:
Virginia Wade #2
Sue Barker #4
Jo Konta #4
Jo Durie #5
Emma Raducanu #10

I can get who has made the top 100 from Jeff Sackmann's data later, but it will depend on how complete the data is.
