Jamie's back with Delgo this week. They're the second seeds here, only just behind the N° 1s, Amir Hadad & Philipp Marx (ISR/GER) (combined ranking of 263, compared with 262!). They play the Monegasque pair, Benjamin Balleret & Jean-René Lisnard, in the first round. I hope Jamie M can carry on where he left off in Alphen last week & Delgo still remembers what it's like to win a title from Trani last month!
The lads are on last tomorrow, after a suitable rest for their opponents who will have played their singles matches earlier in the day. If J&J win the match their next opponents are local boy, Gorcic, and Vagnozzi(ITA) who won today.
Didn't play today. Was it raining? On tomorrow's OoP.
I think it must have been: there's been no play at all today & the two Js are now due to play in the third match on the centre court tomorrow (after two singles matches, the second of which will kick off no earlier than 12.30 BST)!
What a clot am I (= plural of "whataclotamus" = old joke! ) - answers on a postcard, please - ...? I interpreted the absence of results on the BL site this afternoon long after most of the matches should have finished & the results known as a sign of a further rain-induced interruption in play, whereas, if I had but looked at tomorrow's OoP more closely (can't really put it down to my wearing the wrong specs! I just didn't look! ), I'd have seen that J & J were scheduled to play Gorcic & Vagnozzi tomorrow, not Balleret & Lisnard, & concluded that, for all that the result hadn't been posted on the site, the boys had actually played & won!
Be that as it may, helki's right: Hadad & Marx (ISR/GER) (1), Elgin & Matsukevic (RUS/RUS) (3) & Gimeno & Riba (ESP/ESP) (4) all bit the dust today, the first in the QFs & the other two in the first round. Here's hoping the "curse of the seeds" doesn't strike for a fourth time when the two Js walk on court tomorrow afternoon!
