Try Alt+0128 on the key pad & make sure the num lock is on so that the key pad is enabled. The word "euro" typed out in full makes more sense than using "E", which isn't a recognised abbreviation.

'Ctrl+Alt+4' simultaneously is the easiest for , assuming UK keyboard. (use 4 on the top number row)
'Alt 0128' for US
'Control+Alt+5' some continental setups.
or 'AltGr E '
one of the above should always work for most usual fonts.
edit Should - being the optimum word as the symbol disappeared once I posted this message but it seems to 'stick' in the subject line It seems that one you submit the post the font is reformated in this message box!

For some reason, Karanusic & Russell have been replaced by an alternate pair, Bart Beks & Geoff Gehrke (NED/USA) & Jamie is faring rather better at the moment than "little bruv" did yesterday at Flushing Meadows: he & Jonny lead by 6-1 & 3-1*.
A successful Dutch debut for Jonny & Jamie: they took the second set 6-3 & with it the match, so that's a minimum of 13 ranking points in the bag! Chadaj & Robert in the QF...
