James Ward back on his more favoured surface and seeded 6 at this tournament. First up for him is the German WC, Jakob Sude. He's also partnering Kristian Pless again in the doubles. Fingers crossed for a good run for him this week.

Sude is an unranked 18 year old who lost in germany F14 6-2, 4-6, 4-6 to the world 1348. So as 1st round challenger draws come, can't get much better than that
Qualifier or Andis Juska in round 2, WR 272 and with 126 points of his 196 total to come off, hasn't been having that great a year
So technically Wardy should have a good shot of 13 pts and quarter finalist where his most likely opponent would be 3rd seed Daniel Brands, so here's hoping!
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
Relevant to James' half of the draw, though in the other quarter, his doubles partner, Pless, took out Benedikt Dorsch, the seventh seed, 7-5 3-6 7-6(1) yesterday.
