QR1: John Rambotas UNR v Nikolaos Kontakis (GRE) UNR

John might have a chance here. This is Kontakis' first foray outside Greece where his record in Futures/Challenger qualifying is played 4 matches, W 0 sets, lost 8, of which 5 were breadsticks.

Meatball may be seeded here, Dan Smethurst is also a DA and Bains & the Wardinator are 2nd & 3rd alts respectively, with the top two seeds in qualifying being the 5th and 7th Alts, which suggests to me that Maniel has got in and Alex will probably be in too if his injury was short-lived enough for him to risk it.
