Yes, gives the counties that have already played them a big advantage, especially Lancashire who beat them 9-0!

the make-up of the Scottish counties is so odd.

'North of Scotland' is basically everything above Glasgow (aka West of Scotland) and Edinburgh (aka East of Scotland), which is a bit ridiculous really.

Which leaves South of Scotland with just the Borders and Dumfries & Galloway, and a pool of about 300 people to choose from (gross exageration, but you get my point).

Funnily enough, the Herts boys didn't object to having to play an artificially strong team at all ... and overall the team still won, thanks mainly to both the Corries and Bam Bam/Dr No beating the pair that included Jamie Murray. I mean, clearly Herts have the strongest team there overall and those are both more than decent Futures doubles pairs, but what's a top 100 doubles player doing losing to them? ashamed

It wasn't as if he had a duff partner either - Pankhurst (Jamie's partner) and Weir had won the only three matches North of Scotland had won this week before today.
