Isn't Evans down for Vancouver? Why is he attached to Washington?

He is actually down for both so it's anyones guess.

Updated with Futures - nice to see the likes of Baker/Phillips back in the UK as well as Bloomers returning

ALTERNATES

11 HUSS, Stephen 32 - HUTCHINS, Ross 31 1016 D+D 63

13 GICQUEL, Marc 59 82 TSONGA, Jo-Wilfried 120 8 D+S 67

15 BRUNSTROM, Johan 41 872 ROJER, Jean-Julien 49 - D+D 90

Huss and Hutchins should just about manage to sneak in, but it's going to be a very strong event and given their current form, maybe trying Vancouver to just get the wins coming again could be the better plan.

Evans now 3rd alternate for Washington qualies.

None of the 4 WC's have been awarded, but you'd imagine Levine, Evans and Bogomolov would have a good chance of getting one, which would put Dan in the qualifying draw.

maybe Evo would get a QWC as reward for his Lexington run?

I'd be amazed if he did given what the USTA usually do with their wild cards... still should manage to just about sneak in anyway given there are a few Americans ahead of him who could get MD WC's.

Last year Washington didn't give a main draw WC to Somdev - possibly the strongest case for a non national wild card in the history of tennis. So I don't see Evans getting one.

Don't forget kevin Anderson, he most likely won't be able to play qualies

If and a big if, Evo qualifies for Washington his possible opponents are:

Dancevic
Ferrero
Qualifier
Istomin
Alexander Domijan (WC)

Couldn't ask for a much nicer draw for a qualie, no seeds
