At just before 1130am this morning I was on the phone at work when 2 Tornados over-flew our office. This happens several times every summer and we often joke about being used as target practice by the RAF.
Our office is in rural Perthshire so Low flying is commonplace.
The architect I was speaking to on the phone remarked at the noise thinking it was a 'train' going by. I joked with him that we had just been strafed by the RAF !
The mood within my office changed shortly afterwards when 2 F3's crashed just a few minutes flight time away.
They were flying low when the went overhead but they were closer together than normal. There were more than 2 F3's out today so unsure which pair were involved.
According to the report you attached, just one plane actually crashed, with two crewmen killed, the other one of that particular pair made it back OK. So, presumably it wasn't any coming together.
By the way, I grew up near Fort William and was well used to low flying jets around there and other parts of the Highlands.
