yes best of luck to Jamie hope he gets close to top 200 again had areally bad spell of injury but he is afighter so hopefully he will come back stronger
A nice R1 draw for Jamie in his first tournament back. Bedene's twin brother plays as well, but is not ranked in singles yet. Aljaz reached the semis of a Future in Bosnia last month, but didn't have to beat anyone inside the top 700 to get there and was convincingly beaten in the semis by a player just inside the top 500.
The winner is likely to face (7) Nils Langer (GER) WR 695 in R2, with (1) Pavol Cervenak (SVK) WR 304 the top seed in the quarter. Pre-injury Jamie would have had a very good chance of winning this event and even without match practice, I imagine he'd be mortified to go out before the QFs.

I didn't see that coming but perhaps the fact he went out to Slovenia instead of asking for a WC for Nottingham (assuming he didn't) is because he knows he's still a long way off being 100%.
