Centre Court Celebration

I'm not usually to be found at non-competitive tennis events, but the lure of a good seat was too tempting to pass up. They've done a fab job with the court. Pics and a few notes on the day can be found at http://www.andymurray.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2631 - posting something like that is simply a lot less ofa palaver over there than it is here.

Thanks Steven, great pics and commentary. Looked like an an excellent day. Almost hoping for rain at Wimbly now so I get to see the roof shut too.

Good report & pictures, Steven. thumbsup.gif  If you really did miss Andy's brief appearance, you can catch up with it on the BBC site.  That's what I had to do:  I was out in the latter half of the afternoon, but was tipped off that he'd put in an unannounced guest appearance later.

Thanks for those, Steven. It must have been a fascinating day, seeing the new roof and having memories brought back by some of the best players from the not so distant past. I had to watch from the comfort of my sofa and wasn't expecting the four of them to be as fit as they were. Great credit to them for making the effort and celebrating the new roof with such an appreciative audience. Steffi Graf at 39 looks as well as she did in her playing days. We could do with a few more like her in today's women's game, (Just my opinionwink). 'Tis good to see Kim back and giving tennis another shot. I wonder how she will get on? Tim & Andre have always been favourites of mine & I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them on court. Added to that, a surprise visit from AM, made an afternoon of pleasant viewing. Wish I'd been where you were, though.wink

Thanks SC, fortunately I found about that last night so I've already watched it ... someone did text me to say Muzza had come on court but I was too far away to get back fast enough. Missing that bit certainly didn't spoil the day, which really was a lot of fun, it just seemed so silly to manage to miss it. LOL
