Good to see. I also need to update my so called locker room rankings to take this into account, explain more when I do them.

Just thinking about Dan's schedule - he was in Miami and then straight on to play:

Monte Carlo
Barcelona
Munich
Madrid
Does he then have a gap? but presumably wont travel home?
Rome
then maybe a gap with RG going back??
Paris
Queens
Eastbourne?
Wimbledon

He has set himself a schedule and a half and is playing doubles - I think his girlfriend is travelling with him so it seems he must be in a happy place and jut enjoying playing??

By the way, just a little shout out for Dan's girlfriend - I'm a fan ! I once had a quick chat with her at Wimbly qualis, not to be pushy but to ask her if Dan liked spectators to be really loud and a bit unruly - I generally am , but it's not very 'Wimbledon', even at qualis, and Dan seemed a little edgy (what's new? ) so I thought I'd tone it down a bit if he didn't like it.
And she was really sweet and chatted and said, oh no, I think he likes it, go ahead. So I did

Looks like he doesn't have any gap for the next 4 weeks currently.

After that it's
Wb May 17th are two 250's(Geneva & Lyon)
Wb May 24th currently no events due RG moving back a week.

thanks Madadman - the Darts Rankings Schedules tool is quite a decent tool - beats the one on the LiveRankings.eu site as it gives decent info on where they are in the relevant entry list as well. Thanks for that. Presumably after Rome, those weeks of 17/24th May, he will stay/move to France and just train on the clay, cant see any reason to come home to UK in that time?

Apparently Federer is playing Madrid, missing Rome, then playing Geneva, another week off and then Paris. He will presumably then play Halle before Wimbledon...

Nice to see Dan Evans being the voice of reason and responsibility......

In light of the hoo-hah about Medvedev testing positive and possibly kicking out Nadal coz they practiced together, and the ATP's stupidity in allowing people who live in Monaco not to go into strict bubbles like the others, Dan says:

'it's deifnitely in my mind, I'm very eager to get vaccinated, if I can. It would be heart-breaking to test positive for Wimbledon.
It's very important to stick to the protocols; if someone is being blasé, they ruin it for everyone else..........so seeing the scenes in England, I won't be socialising any time soon'.

From the Shropshire Star (and probably elsewhere too !)

By the way, I note that the ATP site now says that Dan is officially resident in Dubai.

Is that new? Or did I just not notice it before?

Presumably for tax reasons, stating the obvious ..........

I presume that he can live in tax exile while earning big bucks and its such a short window and hes constantly on the move anyway then return to the U.K. when his annual earnings become a little more mundane?

Must be a cousin, he doesn't have any brothers just two older sisters.

Interview with Dan in today's Metro in which he says that winning Queen's would be as good for him as reaching the final stages of a Grand Slam tournament.
