UTS was one of the exho events that ran in the summer, in Cannes I believe, or Nice. Moratogalou was the organiser and it used a variety of formats, playing sets based on time as opposed to games, players using cards like jokers that gave them various incentives. Players in earlier versions included Tsitsipas, thiem, zverev and some lesser names.

Dan is in this 6 man uts event in Antwerp,

Hes in a group with De Minaur and Andujar. Looks like he beat Andujar and lost to De Minaur, although I'm gauging that from twitter. I think they play again tonight with finals tomorrow ahead of main event starting monday

Stuart Fraser reporting on twitter that Mark is returning to  a coaching role with the LTA. Whether that means the LTA is paying him to coach one of our youngers players on tour or something else. Who knows. Will be interesting to see who Dan gets in next.

Seems Dan wanted Hilts to choose between joining him full time or staying at the NTC. He was apparently on a secondment to Evo; Hilts , a family man, chose the NTC, not something one can argue with really.

Apparently Dan is already looking forwards and Chris Jonhstone has been contacted for a trial over the Oz season (Johnstone coached Wayne Ferreira and Gigi Fernandez).

Mention of Ferreira and Fernandez is going back a while.Without checking too deeply Fernandez was a Wimbledon semi finalist back in 1994. I appreciate  she had a stellar doubles career with Zvereva but that's back in the last century.Hasn't Chris  Johnstone got more recent  successful  charges on his CV.?

On tennis australia website , his bio says what is below. Not sure any of them are that current!

As a player, Chris Johnstone reached a career-high ranking of 97 in 1982 on the back of a third-round showing at Wimbledon.

Forced into retirement through injury, Johnstone took a break from tennis before returning as a coach.

He started coaching on the ATP/WTA tour in 1987.

On the ATP tour he coached South Africas Wayne Ferreira, who reached No.6 in the world, while on the WTA tour he coached Gigi Fernandez, Robin White and Catharina Linquist to the top 20.

Johnstone has coached Australian players including Nicole Bradtke, Rennae Stubbs, Nicole Pratt and Olivia Rogowska.

He took up a role as an Australian Institute of Sport Pro Tour Program coach in 2008

Rogowska is still active as a player , her highest  singles ranking being just outside the top 100 in 2014. She beat Johanna Konta in the first round of qualifying at 2013 US Open. The others were  mainly   active in the 1980's and 1990's. Nicole Bradtke was runner up in the mixed doubles at Wimbledon 1987 with Darren Cahill against Jo and Jeremy. She was also a semi finalist at Paris 1988. She is the sister in law of Todd Woodbridge.
