does anyone know the visiting arrangements for queens qualies. will it be open to the public and will it be free still?
Have just found this on the website FAQ:
Can I attend the qualifying tournament? Yes, admission is £5 per day. For health and safety reasons there is a limit of 500 spectators per day within the grounds of The Queens Club on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June. This is done on a first come, first served basis on the day. The Qualifying Tournament is due to begin at 10.00 am on Saturday 6th June, weather permitting.
Does anyone who has been before know what time you need to turn up to be in the first 500 or is it a poorly attended weekend? Also is anyone else thinking of going?
i was thinking of going, just seen the LTA decided to add a £5 to it. that will make them £2.5k if 500 turn up.
as i say i am thinking of going, always had a good time b4, the weather doesn't look great though so that may make my decision for me. as for 500, i'm not sure. if you get there for about 10am then i reckon it will be fine, later in the day if its nice it can get busier as more people come to watch the big names practice etc.

I'm probably going to go tomorrow, and then maybe on Sunday as well, but that will depend on who is still involved in the qualifying event then.
Not liking the 10am start though, as it means I'm likely to have to get the 7.30 train out of Eastbourne to make sure that I get to Queens in plenty of time to be there when play begins and to make sure that 500 people don't turn up before me.
I would be very surprised if 500 turned up at 10, although you wouldn't want to be getting there later than 11. I just hope there are more Brits there than last year.
I'm not expecting 500 to be there at 10am, but I'll want to be there for the start of play so I don't miss any of the action, so I've got to either get the 7.30 train, or the 7.58 train and then cut it a bit fine as to whether I get there on time.
There will be at least 4 Brits from the WC's (probably Evans, Cox. Eaton and one other), while Boggo will also surely get in with his current ranking.
Not expecting too many more though as I'd be surprised if the cut went all the way down to the 350ish mark... hopefully some of the players will go to Halle instead given that it's traditionally been a lot weaker there and it's easier to gain points in the main draw.
