Anne Keothavong is in a strong main draw here and faces further Spanish opposition in the form of last year's French Open quarter-finalist Carla Suarez Navarro. Anne did beat Carla earlier in the year on a hardcourt, but the Spaniard is considerably stronger on clay than Anne's Fes opponents, having reached the Marbella final recently.
