Guillermo Coria Retires.


I can understand why many do not like him, but he's one of the few clay courters whom I found interesting. It's a sad day....

And whenever I think of Coria, I think of what could have happened had he suffered from cramps in his previous match in RG 2004. cry

Pity he never really recovered from that RG final loss. Strange that neither the winner nor the loser had a good career following that match. Would have been interesting to see more battles between Coria and Rafa.

Didnt know that he was still going, I still remember that match that tim should have won at roland garros, possibly still his best chance to win a slam IMO

Yes, you're right, it would have been easier to beat Gaudio in the RG Final than it would have been to beat Rafter at Wimby in 2001.
