Week 12 - Challenger (€30,000+H) - Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina

I said I thought Aucks might have retired a little too early I think because he has turned up here with Rogier Wassen (NED) and they are the top seeds and the favourites to take the title. In the first round they face Marius Copil & Ivo Klec (ROU/SVK).

Aucks and Wassen must have won their first round match because they are the OOP for tomorrow but no sign of a score yet. In the QF they will face Mirza Basic & Ivan Dodig (BIH/CRO).

They were pushed hard, but ran out the eventual winners by 6-7(2) 6-1 [10-5]. smile  I guess the new partnership needed a bit of time to gel... wink

They did, but lost the second 2-6 - then won the MTB 10-8! smile  Partnership starting to look promising! wink  The fourth seeds, Bastl & Snobel (SUI/CZE), or  Deheart/Rieschick (USA/GER) in the SF.  Fingers crossed... pray.gif

And 'twill be the unseeded Deheart & Rieschick, who did for the fourth seeds by 7-6(?) 6-7(?) [10-8] this afternoon.  Tomorrow's OoP is not yet out, but the semi-finals will presumably be played tomorrow.

Fingers crossed that Aucks & Wassen are running into form. Two MTB in the matches they have played so far isn't filling me with a great deal of confidence. Hope it all comes good tomorrow, if tomorrow it is. pray.gif

Something worked.smile At least I think it did. A&W look to have won 6-3 6-4. Although Wassen seems to have been playing for both sides. rofl.gif He'll be tired out!

Confirmed! biggrin  The partnership finally seems to be settling down & gathering a bit of momentum on the evidence of today's result. smile  They face the unseeded Russo-Polish partnership of Konstantin Kravchuk & Dawid Olejniczak in the final at 11.00 GMT tomorrow after they did for the second seeds, Duclos & Monroe, by 5 & 3 today.  Fingers crossed... pray.gif

Didn't work this time:  after cancelling out the loss of the first set (2-6) by winning the second 6-3, they only went & lost the bloody MTB, & with it the title, 7-10! cry
