Slabba seems to have stayed in Thailand instead of coming back for Jersey:

Slabba beat Sitak, who has a CH of 353 (Nov 2003), 6 & 4 in Tyumen (RUS) last April, thus completing an 8-match Brit-BASHED streak for Sitak, which included 3 losses to Jonny Marray. He has since beaten the Wardinator 2 & 2 last September, while Robert Dee took 2 games off him when he lost to him last month. Together with Milan Sekulic, Sitak somehow managed not to double bagel the 'dream team' in doubles at the same tournament.
The winner of that QR2 match is likely to face German-born Irishman Louk Sorensen, who beat Seator 2 & 1 in Wimby Q last year but lost 3 & 1 to Baker just over a year ago.
Josh's R1 opponent Ebelthite has played Brits 7 times since 2002 and has won the last 6, against the likes of Slabba, Baker & Wardy. The winner of that match is likely to play no. 6 seed Daniel Brands WR 148, who has never played a Brit in singles at senior level, and top seed Andreas Beck is also in that quarter.

Another winnable match for Josh, and with the confidence of a doubles title last week, it would be a very poor result if he wasn't able to reach the second round here.
Hopefully Slabba can join him in the draw and Donskoy isn't anyone who he should fear.
Depends on how the courts are playing here......Ebelthite is a serve-volleyer with a huge, huge serve. He racked up a lot of points on artificial grass last summer but hasn't done too much since
I guess Josh will take the cheap win, and hopefully with the confidence of the doubles title that he won last week, he can go on and beat Lorenzi this week.
Horrible loss for Slabba though who just cannot get a win or a run of results going at all this season.
