Excuse the dreadful pun in the title but at least it got your attention. I haven't been including Johanna in the GB top 25 table or in the GB successes table this year because I haven't known whether to count her as British while she waits for citizenship to come through or not, particularly when it seemed to be only hearsay that she was going to become British at all.
However, I now notice that she is (allegedly) on the LTA's 'list of 36', i.e. GB players (allegedly) on AEGON contracts, which implies that either she is definitely going to become a GB player at some point or the LTA are throwing their money at non-GB players again. (there's precedent for the latter of course, e.g. holding Challengers in Jersey to make it especially easy for the GEBBs to come over and harvest all the points )
So, should I include her on the table(s) at the expense of the current GB no. 25, include her (without a GB ranking) as well as the current GB no. 25 or wait until she can actually start playing with GBR after her name?

If you've got that much time on your hands, Count, you might like to take up the challenge of trying to find the last time a GB WC and a GB qualifier both beat no. 1 seeds in the same week ...

After all of which, you haven't really got an answer to your question, we are all pretty much split on the subject. I suggest you just please yourself!
If Steven's going to put Konta in the women's table, heshould have an honorary Brit in the men's table too. It should be someone ranked highly, to give us something to cheer, but somebody who will not knock Our Andy off the top.
So, for our new GB #2, I vote that we give a good home to Davydonkey.

But as a player whose game matches up perfectly to Murray's and is therefore likely to beat him on most occasions, it would be counterproductive to have someone to cheer who will actually beat British players.
I do like the Nalbandian shout as it will allow me to cheer for him without feeling bad about doing it, but he's actually a bit too good to be put on the table I feel.
