There are SEs for women, but I'm not sure that they translate from 10ks into 25Ks, hopefully I'm wrong.

Oh yes, of course, you're right - I'd forgotten that the tournaments were at two different levels. As Smidster says then, let's hope Emily can do well enough this weekend to make missing the 25K worthwhile.

It does seem a little harsh on Emily that she will now be fined $100 as a penalty for doing well in another event.

Especially at the lower levels where the money is probably little more than that.

Actually after digging through the rule book:

A player who is on the Qualifying Acceptance List but who is still playing in
another ITF Womens Circuit or WTA Tour tournament at the time of the
Qualifying Sign-In deadline, provided the player withdraws before the
Qualifying Sign-In closes.

so she should be ok
