grr i got in, opened the sb and saw boggo was 3 mp's down!!

i am sad alex lost, a decent effort as beck is on good form, beating 2 top 100 players last week. its a shame alex hasn't had enough match tennis this year so far, another break till belgrade, still hopefully it will pay off later in the year

Nathii's take (i am sure she wont mind me posting it here)

Beck should have lost to Alex Bogdanovic today. In the first set Beck totally humped the Britishman, who had problems with footwork and made several errors. In the second set his first serve started to hit, so the whole game changed it's view. Boggo started to force the Slovak's errors, or sometimes hit a winner himself. Surprisingly he was rarely at the net (maybe scared of Beck's passes). In the third set Beck blew a couple of breakpoints and after a fight with the linesmen he lost his service. Bogdanovic had crazy fans (eh, fans, gamblers I mean) in the stands who shouted "Come on Alex, you can!" after every ball. Not sure, I think it was maybe 30-15 on his serve when all he needed to do was to "bring it home." He double-faulted. Happens. Two gamblers who played very big time on Beck, after one hour fifty minutes of game, reacted for the first time. One of them clapped loudly and shouted (in Polish) "Come on Alex, do exactly this way." Discouraged Boggo netted the serve once again. They clapped again. This was the change of the monumentum. Alex's serve didn't hit the target anymore and in consequence he stopped to run (he crippled a bit earlier already, actually, bad shape strikes back again) and lost the match.

its a shame the way the gamblers act, clapping when a player df's etc just shouldn't be done. however alex shouldnt let it effect him, although in a way it may be worse in a small arena.

If that's true, it's not surprising Boggo was pressured into making errors and double faults.

Jamie D on the LS now with Falla and Mergea & Motti hold in the first game on the sudden death point.

He must be a bit tired because on Tennis Alternative it says "Jamie Delgado certainly wasn't fresh after his 32 hours flight between London and Wrocaw (yes, in normal conditions it takes less than two hours). Blame the weather."

I'm impressed.

On again tomorrow, I see, against Dorsch and Warburg. That match preceded by Aucks and Aisam who take on Brand and Slanar. Good luck to both pairs.

Jamie is injured (back) he will withdraw...... anyway I won't write the dirt on him from the players party (i'm just back home... yeah, long night... not only for me of course) cos the British tabloids might get interested ;)
