Do you think if they do well here Booty and Stretch will give it another go?

Both Brits have winnable first round matches.

Although I wish Ross was in the other half of his section of 4 teams

I think the outcome of this tournament could decide whether Booty/Stretch give their partnership another go. Storming through a few rounds will remind them of their happy heady days whilst a first round loss will bring the arguments flooding back!

Huss and Hutchins play tomorrow - last up on Court 11

Calleri and Schwank their opponents both lost in R1 of singles so hopefully will be eager to get home!

Solid win. As someone on AM.com pointed out that means Ross has won a round at each of the last four slams.

In R2 they will face the 6th seeds Mariusz Fyrstenberg & Marcin Matkowski. Hopefully this pair are only Jamie Murray bashers and it doesn't extend to all Brits. And the Poles struggled against a pair of Aussie wild cards today, so maybe not on top form.

Really good news.

Great time to get your first win of the year and as they weren't defending any points there is a chance to move up.

The Poles will be very tough in the next round but, with the exception of AO 06, they don't have the best record at slams.

Another win under their belts. clap.gif I fear the Poles will be a tougher test, but anything is possible.

I'm a little worried about the prospects for Jamie M & Booty. Perhaps they have had long enough together so far to enable them to find a winning formula. Fingers crossed it's good news in the morning. please.gif

Even though I'm inclinded to agree with virtually all of it, I almost felt a bit sorry for Shaggy today when I saw this article http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/tennis/article5565031.ece from Barry Flatman.

It certainly would be interesting to know why Ross went on winter training with Andy and Jamie didn't.

Maybe he wasn't invited!

Have to say I agree with this article. We don't read much about Jamie's training at all. He also changed his coach last year. He has achieved some good results but he does also ride on the back of Andy's success and doesn't give the impression that he is prepared to work anywhere near as hard as his brother. I hope he plays better in the mixed doubles or I think he can expect some harsh words from Ms Huber.

Can't see him making the Davis Cup team myself.

Who are Simon Huss & Liezil Huber? I'm sorry but if I was a professional journalist writing for one of the biggest newspapers in the land I would at least take the time to make sure I knew the names of the people I am writing about.

Tennis journalism in this country is an absolute joke.
