I think the outcome of this tournament could decide whether Booty/Stretch give their partnership another go. Storming through a few rounds will remind them of their happy heady days whilst a first round loss will bring the arguments flooding back!
Solid win. As someone on AM.com pointed out that means Ross has won a round at each of the last four slams.
In R2 they will face the 6th seeds Mariusz Fyrstenberg & Marcin Matkowski. Hopefully this pair are only Jamie Murray bashers and it doesn't extend to all Brits. And the Poles struggled against a pair of Aussie wild cards today, so maybe not on top form.
Another win under their belts. I fear the Poles will be a tougher test, but anything is possible.
I'm a little worried about the prospects for Jamie M & Booty. Perhaps they have had long enough together so far to enable them to find a winning formula. Fingers crossed it's good news in the morning.
Have to say I agree with this article. We don't read much about Jamie's training at all. He also changed his coach last year. He has achieved some good results but he does also ride on the back of Andy's success and doesn't give the impression that he is prepared to work anywhere near as hard as his brother. I hope he plays better in the mixed doubles or I think he can expect some harsh words from Ms Huber.
Who are Simon Huss & Liezil Huber? I'm sorry but if I was a professional journalist writing for one of the biggest newspapers in the land I would at least take the time to make sure I knew the names of the people I am writing about.
Tennis journalism in this country is an absolute joke.
