^Yeah and Anne beat Navarro the week before quite handily.
I really think this is a winnable match, it seems that Anne has been struggling with players that her rankiing says she should beat, like Ves and Razzano. I think this is a great chance and im glad that we should get to see her. GO ANNE!

Ok well how about this then! Having played jus one match and losing.. she will not hav much match play or much confidence goin into the Aussie open!
1) She isn't playing a qualifier who can always be dangerous (Think 7 qualifiers made it through to R2 last year)
2) She isn't playing an Aussie - Home players always liable to raise their game
3) Chances are it will be on an outside court - I am sure the more established players perform better on the grander stage
4) Chakvetadze can 'blow up' rather easily. If Anne can get into the match and perhaps get an early break then Chakvetadze has every chance to capitulate.
Lets also not overlook form - Chakvetadze has only won 3 mathes since last August.
It's unlikely, though possible, that Anne will be in the top 50 or Mel in the top 100 if they lose. There are a lot of players still active in qualifying or yet to play in the main draw who can overtake with 1 or 2 wins.
There's a reasonable chance that one or both matches will be on one of the 5 televised courts, so we may well have live or highlights coverage on BBCi/British Eurosport, and it is possible to subscribe to the Eurosport 5 channel feed (free streaming may also be available elsewhere).
