The little things that make the Count happy LOL

"Had a word with Baker and he is feeling very good. Passed on our best. He is looking great."

Baker breaks *3-1 playing well within himself - btw Jeanclaude beat Bloomers and Evo last May, so he's not bad!

... and when I went to ITF to check I was remembering that right, I noticed that the draw there is getting updated with final results intra-day. Wow! smile.gif

The Scots do seem very able and efficient when it comes to hosting sporting events - the tennis centre in the Baker video looked very clean & tidy and they had even constructed a stand. The Sheffield event seemed fairly well run last year but they didn't push publicity and a stand would have been useless and a far-fetched concept.

The fifth seed, Jonathan Esseyric (FRA), has bitten the dust, beaten 4 & 5 by the Ivorian, Valentin Sanon (WR 537), so that's the identity of Josh Milton's second-round opponent settled! wink

Aha, sr stands for Jeanclaude it appears (I think that's what Drew's 'oops' meant when I asked if Jamie wasn't playing the player he was down on the draw to play smile.gif)

Yes, 4 rankings upsets out of 5 in the results we know of so far. Eysseric was the guy who took Muzza to 5 sets in R1 at RG last year wasn't he.

So far, combining Drew & ITF ...

Fleming beat (1) Bloomfield 7-6(1) 6-3
(Q) Cox beat Ysern 3-6 6-3 7-6(3)
(Q) Milton beat (WC) Pauffley 6-1 6-4
Sanon beat (5) Eysseric 6-4 7-5

No seeds left in the top Q!

(4) Lacko v Oudsema - must be on now
Evans beat Eaton 4-6 6-2 6-1
Nieminen v Illingworth - possibly on a court Drew can't see
Baker v (6) Jeanclaude
