Jamie Baker would appear to be sticking to his guns here. smile  No main draw on the ATP site yet, but going by the ITF entry list (last modified yesterday), he could be the 7th seed.  Qualies draw is on the ATP site & there are currently four Brits in it:

Q1:  Joe Cooper UNR vs John Valente (USA) UNR
Q1:  (q4) Manuel Sánchez (MEX) WR 951 vs Neil Pauffley WR 1483 bleh.gif

My expectations were confirmed (Joe lost by 0 & 1 cry , while Alex won by 3 & 4 smile ) & my fears unfounded (Neil won by 5-7 7-5 6-4 biggrin ).

So I see!  Didn't bother checking that earlier when I looked for the Q2 results - assumed it was too early for the MD to be posted! redface.gif  Hope his non-appearance is simply because he's decided to call it year & take a proper break to go & recharge his batteries in preparation for next season... pray.gif  Fingers firmly crossed for the two boys in qualies! please.gif

great resulta here for the young guns.. shame about knightsy i wonder what happened..

i thought fitzy would have been here as its one of those places that could have been weak.. but seeing the draws they are tough no wonder he decisdeed against it!!!

Alex may have bombed out of the singles qualies, but he & Sánchez disposed of the Italians without too much difficulty:  2 & 3! biggrin  Only trouble is:

QF:  (1) Ivan Anikanov/Philipp Oswald (UKR/AUT) WR 829 vs Manuel Sánchez (MEX)/Alexander Ward WR 2128... hmm
