i'd sat boggo's chances are very slim. maybe if he is in a position that would get a qualies seeding.

hopefully he'll be top 100 by then and wont need one :)

I know that there have supposedly been hints about Boggo might not get a Wimby WC next year.

But If he is clearly our no 2 and inside even just the top 200, I'd be very surprised if he didn't get a Wimby WC.

The guidelines they've been working to recently have been top 250 , but I can see him maybe not getting one under a special Boggo amendment if he's outside the top 200 and / or not GB no 2.

who ever the GB no 2 is next time must get a Wimby WC unless they are ranked 250+...if that happens to be Boggo then thats tough...give him one.

was Alex GB no2 this time rd? he was top 200 at the time, but the press were rather unhappy remember, and it was pretty much said enough was enough.

Boggo's got enough WC's on the basis the rest of the brits are rubbish, i don't think he'll get any more. that's why i think he's going to have to be knocking right on the door of the top 100, so that inspite of past WC's, not giving him one now would be spiteful.

The LTA will probably amend their rules so that only players in the top 250 that haven't recieved eight or more wild cards before get a wild card.

Even if he does get offered a wild card, which I don't think is THAT unlikely, he should turn it down and play qualies anyway.

You really think he's gonna turn down £10,000 guranteed by accepting the main draw wild card to qualify and if he loses 1st round lose almost £7,000?

I don't think he would, but I certainly think he should.

realistically he's not going to turn down a WC. take away the money, would you really turn down the pass into a GS main draw? he would also then miss up the chance to play eastbourne and run the risk or getting a huge server who is on fire in the qualies and may fluke a easy 1st rd. if they offer he will accept.

Piece here from Harman on Murray which should be in here.

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/tennis/article6914919.ece

"The Scot apart, there is one male, Alex Bogdanovic (No 176), in the top 200 in singles, with two women, Katie OBrien (No 88) and Elena Baltacha (No 89) inside the leading 100 on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. "

His inability to mention Anne K in this section is very disappointing.

Very interesting paragraph about Murray's shots not demonstrating a desire to win the match - reading between the lines those are pretty strong comments from OEM.

But having watched this tournament closely for the last few years (and decided not to go this year), I tend to share the sentiments. I don't necessarily suspect any match-fixing; I think it's more to do with the timing of the event, with players struggling after a long season and looking to save themselves for London.

My point and I think it's important is his complete disregard of Annes achievements this year.

Being ranked inside the top 50 is something he should of mentioned when he looked at at the state of British tennis rankings.

Well according to Steven then yes. And I would always believe Steven than anyone however, the wording is annoying.

"inside the leading 100" suggests anyone before 100.
