Sad news but I for one refuse to jump to conclusions until the case is brought forward; without wishing to sound too callus I have read about too many rape accusations as of late that have turned out to be false [although I am not saying, at the moment, that this is one of those..].
Of all tyrannies a tyranny exercised for the good of its victim may be the most oppressive.... those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience
Without trying to prejudge the case itself, I can't say I'd be too happy about having to take my chances on justice in the southern US ...
What I can never understand about rape cases is why the name of the defendant gets released before they are even found guilty - that seems both crazy and cruel to me, because it makes it so difficult for them to escape some kind of stigma even if they are found innocent.
