Poor Fitzy: it just gets worse.  I thought a nobroach-infested room in Pakistan was bad enough but to be stuck in Nottingham, England.... shiver, it doesn't bear thinking about!

Has it perhaps slipped our attention that there are 30 other Brits playing in this tournament? (I assume that Boris Kucera is a Johnny Foreigner.)

Some of them even have the novel idea of concentrating on playing, rather than writing a running commentary, LOL.

Only joking, it's always good to hear from our lads at the battlefront ....

Just noticed on the LTA site Fitzy that you're listed as a '2.1' whilst Tim Hewitt is a '1.2' [despite both of you have world rankings, and them both being v.similar]; is your rating simply out of date or have you been adjudged to not have whatever requirements are needed to meet the 1.2 grade?

Im pritty sure im a 1.2 thats what my card thing says but i dont really take any notice to it, given i there going to be getting rid of them soon anyways.

in reply to the question about the football tournament, well i went in for a 50-50 challenge with a big bloke in the first minute of the first match, and he went flying into the curtain, obviosly he got up and tried to punch me. didnt help that i was kinda laughing in his face.

Rest of the game and tournament i was a marked man!
Other than that it was good.
i like these nottingham courts, they have built a really good gym downstairs there now which is nice.

Good god its cold in england at the moment.

I think it will be turbervill vs farquharson semi.
Ill go for me and bettles aswell, push the boat out, and call for some more shocks
