Pacman,

Fitzy comes on here, with his handful of rankings points and gives us an insight to what its like to be a tennis tennis player getting on the first rungs of the ladder. He shares a bit of banter with us. Edward Seator has done much the same albeit from a higher position on the rankings. The regulars here follow British tennis and therefore enjoy it. Why trash it with comments like the above? How can you accuse others of not respecting other people?

Why not contribute to people who support what you're doing in your career and what your next plans are? If you are a British pro player do you realise that we've been supporting you unconditionally? Care to introduce yourself or, is lurking anonymously calling others a "knob" more your thing?

Respect...you have no idea.

Being an online assasin is one of the most low life, cowardly and dis-repectfull things you can be in the world on online communities. Sure have you opinion but to do it 'hidden' and anon is childish and barely worth me replying to you.

One more post like the one above and you will be banned. We presume that sniper, pacman etc are same poster so be warned.

All are welcome here and opinions range and healty debates are encouraged. but not this cowardly tripe.

"Most people on here are anonymous."

That's true of course smile.gif though the regulars here don't seem anonymous these days, maybe because I've met a few of them!

Most of us have said negative things about a few players too, but the difference is that most people's comments are balanced with positive stuff too and we still support them and want them to do well even when we're shocked by a bad result or think they might be going the wrong way about things.

We also know we don't ever know the full story and could be spouting rubbish as a result, which is one of the things that makes it great when players come on here and fill in some of the details!

What's cowardly (and childish) in my opinion, is coming on here and hiding behind anonymity just to slag off someone you know for the sake of it.

We all have reasons why we lost, hit good or poor form, and have to battle to get funding, but end of the day you get what you deserve.....did I deserve funding after climbing from 1000 to 580 in 2 months, yes i did. Did I deserve it after not capitalising, and poor form for 6 months? Not in Pauls opinion, so fair enough I started working harder.....and stopped bitching.

Great to hear from you again smile.gif And you make a very good point here - we all have views on how the LTA spends its money and the fairness or otherwise of some of its funding decisions, but the healthiest way to deal with it is to always look upon it as your own responsiblity to build your career (with funding a bonus if it comes along) and not to start comparing yourself with other players and thinking you're being unfairly treated compare with them.

Goodness knows, unfairness seems to exist (I'm sure it always does with this kind of funding), but a player dwelling on it won't help their own game, you just have to get out there and get on with it. (I realise that's sometimes easier said than done given how much all the travelling, etc, costs)

I assume you've been injured (?) in which case I hope it isn't too bad and you're getting better, and I assume you've been talking to the players in Pakistan and playing Pro Evo over the Net (edit: misunderstood, you meant Feaver and Bains were playing each other) and you're not actually in Islamabad about to play qualifying for Pakistan F2? biggrin

It must be annoying being out of action as the African Futures 'safari' gets under way again, but looking on the bright side, I think you're virtually guaranteed to end the year in the top 800 even after the African points come off, with any new points you score moving you closer to the top 500 again.

However, any further such remarks from these new posters WILL be deleted.

I rather suspect at least some of them are other players employing an infantile sense of humour. It wouldn't be the first time.

Dammit they posted while I was asleep and so couldn't delete them as promised. Looks like I was right about them being other players though.

haha this is hilarious, commenting on me having a joke about the size of a guys head.
Bit of banter, and given this mysterious hard man isnt at the tournaments, he wouldnt know i have been joking with LEE to his face.

Was any of this to do with you? or have u just felt the need to butt in because your bored or the fact u feel the need to take time out of your day to tell me im a knob.
Why not create an account with your own name, might be a start rather than hiding behind one and throwing me pieces of a jigsaw.

Its amazing what people can say when their typing in a little box, but i cant remember someone giving me grief to my face, next time i see you please feel to come up and say what you feel.

I got injured and have stopped playing now. So not in pakistan, but coaching in Woking. (If anyone lives in the area and wants lessons, private or groupe private message me)

Been speaking to Bains a little bit, he called me last night and a few emails through the week. He was telling me about him and Feaver playing pro evo.
When I traveled to 3rd world places I would always take a PS2 with me as there isnt too much to do in the evenings (apart from Bennin city which has unreal night life, nice trendy bars, one even has a swimming pool which stays open till 4am)

P.s I kept a diary from the first time i went to Africa 2006 and picked up 4 points in 4 weeks. Reading it back now I did have alot of fun and enjoyed the experience.
