It was widely reported that Paul Hutchins was going to speak to Daniel regarding his 4 month ban. The speculation was that after his 14 match winning run and back to back titles he would be brought back into the LTA fold.
Well for whatever reason he remains out. He may well be with Cox and Smethurst out in Spain for the Futures there next week but here is there under his own steam. Apparently he was thinking of going back home to do some coaching to boost his funds. He may have done so but he is there again on the futures tour.
So the question remains will he ever get the backing of the LTA again ? Does he actually want it ? He seems to be doing very well without it. his 14 match unbeaten run and then another semi-final appearance this week seems to suggest that 'Evo' is doing just fine thank you.
I cant think he would knock it back it he was offered the facilities and coaching ?

To be honest, I think Dan feeds of the controversy. It's probably best he does go it alone. I think if he does/can he'll be top 200 by Wimbledon next year and working towards a handy career.
I know that's a big prediction but player who go (roughly) SF, W, W, QF, SF in futures do tend to move up pretty quickly...

Not taking anything away from the lad but he's not had to many quality opponents in the last couple of months, he turned 18 in May so i reckon a top 200 spot should be achieveable by the time he's 20 but Wimby next year would suprise me!
Did anybody else notice when Sue Barker was interviewing Roger Draper, and he was mentioning the prospect of the younger ones coming through, the first name he mentioned was Evans? Maybe he is coming out of the cold. Whether or not that is a good thing I don't know, but I don't suppose a bit of support from the LTA would harm him too much.
