Britain's Jamie Murray has revealed he and Belarussian Max Mirnyi have ended their doubles partnership.
Murray, 22, teamed up with 31-year-old Mirnyi at the start of the year but they have suffered mixed fortunes.
They won their first title together in February, but lost in the first round at three of the four Grand Slams.
"We're looking for other partners," Murray told BBC 5 Live. "It's a shame because we worked hard to try to make it work. It just didn't quite click."
Murray plans to play with a variety of players for the rest of the season as he looks for a new partner.
The doubles world number 33 has been paired with Ross Hutchins in this weekend's Davis Cup tie against Austria at Wimbledon.
Murray says that could become a more regular arrangement next season.
"I guess so," he said. "We might play some tournaments next year."
A surprise? Not really in my eyes, it has been building to this for quite some time, they never seemed to gel from start to finish.
Quite sad though. However I am already looking forward to Jamie teaming up with Ross, it would be great to see a Top50 [possibly higher] British pairing.
I'm not surprised either. Results speak for themselves really.
It's interesting to see that they are down to play the doubles in the DC. I was always under the impression they never played together because they where both very samey type players.
It started off well enough but clearly there was something wrong, especially given their Grand Slam results were so dire. It's not a shocker, that's for sure, but it will be interesting to see if Jamie and Ross give it a go together now...
We all knew that it was going to happen; it's just a question of finding someone to partner now ideally for the start of next season, but for the rest of this year as well if he can - it will be interesting to see how he and Ross get on at the weekend, and then maybe play a couple of events to see how they do fair on the tour.
Will do Jamie good to step out of Max's shadow - he seems to play better when he's the dominant or at least equal partner, as in Booty and Stretch or his mixed doubles pairings. Stretch and the Hutch could work well together in this respect.
