I talked to Bakerboy yesterday and he will not be playing in the Waco Challenger. Said he needs a break and is heading back home to Scotland. A lot of players he said were up in the air about whether to play in Waco because of the Hurricane and the potential of calling the tournament off. Sorry I couldn't come bearing better news.
I already knew Jamie had withdrawn, so to me it's quite good news - at least it means he hasn't had to pull out due to anything drastic happening with his health, though clearly he's still finding it tough getting back the the level he was at before his illness - hardly surprising.

Thanks for the update, Craig. I must say I'm very relieved for the same reasons as Steven - it seems that, like virtually all those who've been out with serious illnesses or injuries, Jamie may have tried to come back too soon. Fitness in a gym is a very different matter to fitness under the stresses of a match. I hope Jamie will be back to full fitness, and maximum ability levels, but, for me, I'd rather he took another six months, if necessary, rather than press on regardless. Yes, coming home to Scotland for a while is a very positive move.
