I accidentally fished this out of Google yesterday while searching for something else. Don't think it has been posted before...

 

Before Johnnylad and Yorkie (and many others) get too excited, it was last updated before Wimbly. cry.gifBut it gives you new info on him, so I thought people might like to read it.

Tuesday 29th April

Im playing at Bournemouth on clay this week however rain stopped play today so its been quite boring hanging around. We were told that we cant use the indoor courts at the club because they were members only! What a joke - I thought they were holding a tennis tournament here. We werent even allowed to use the gym even though it was half empty - only in England!

"Only in England" so true!

Excellent find Arka !

James does get some funding from the lta I believe but even so it doesn't go very far given all the costs of travelling the world. Quite a lot of the Brits are joining the French club teams...I believe there's a German league too

We should have a similar system over here, does anyone know if players get paid for appearing in the NCL ? If it was advertised well it could draw quite a lot of spectator interest

James' blog does show just how ridiculous it was to deny James and indeed Slabba, Wimbledon maindraw wildcards, if for no other reason than that they need the cash in order to pay for all the travelling involved in attempting to go from 500 or so in the rankings, into the top 200, at which point being a professional tennis player might be financially viable.
