Anyone else think this mixed doubles final is dreadful stuff?

The lack of crowd (maybe 1,000 in a stadium holding 23,000) shows that there is zero interest among the paying public. There is no atmosphere at all. Most of the crowd are presumably just sitting and waiting for Fed to come on, and getting pretty p*ssed off that they are being kept waiting.

And yet ...

The winners of this patball contest get an astounding $75,000 each. That's only $5,000 less than the R16 losers in the singles. That's Sam Querrey, who kept thousands enthralled in the stadium, and millions on TV, in that cracking match against Rafa. That's Igor Andreev and Tommy Robredo, who both ran 2 of the tournament favourites close in 5 set marathons, again watched by millions.

It's barking mad.
