Yuk. "1000" and "500".

What was wrong with "Masters"? To my mind, it sounds a lot more important than "1000".

Have we ever found out what is happening to Challenger and Futures points? Are they being more or less doubled as well? If they aren't, it's a disgrace, and if they are, it is (to coin a pun) pointless.

Newport clashing with the Davis Cup! They like never put ATP events on at the same time as the Davis Cup.

true but newport is kinda a side thought atp isnt it, often the field is more like a top challenger, i expect most of the DC QF players probably wouldnt be there anyway.

For something that was supposed to be released over a year ago, it doesn't exactly look like they've done anything particularly special with it, and I think we got have predicted exactly what it would look like.

Still no word on what they'll do with the points at the lower levels, but Mr Disney probably isn't even aware of the existence of challengers/futures, and so wouldn't concern himself with it.

Surely Queens should get this magical "500" status, or is this the equivalent of an IS Gold event (is that what they're called) meaning that appearance money can't be paid?
