Edward Seator, Matthew Illingworth & James Feaver all in the main draw.
QR1: (2) Daniel Evans WR 746 v Clement Maas LUX UNR QR1: (3) Ian Flanagan WR 869 v Luke Campbell UNR QR1: (4) David Brewer WR 941 v Thomas Zamora-Fuentes CHI UNR
These guys would have all got into the main draw direct if they had just entered. Probably got a cheap flight at the last minute. Good choice of tournament it seems though
Seator will be seeded 4th, Evans 6th if he qualifies, Illingworth 7th (or 6th if Evans doesn't qualify) & Feaver 8th if Evans doesn't qualify, if Evans does Feaver will miss out. All of this assuming that the top seed in qualifying (Masson WR 303) manages to qualify.
Maybe they all wanted an extra match on a clay court to get used to the surface again before playing a main draw match?
But all 3 should qualify very easily against unranked players (and given the weakness of the main draw, if they were any good they'd have got a WC), even if it is on a clay court, but this should be a nice chance for some points here.
Hopefully we'll have 6 in the main draw (but they're bound to all draw each other)
Is there something special or different about this event, as I can't see it listed on the ATP web site for next week's Futures Tournaments? Though I can see it on the ITF site.
Simply me being blind as a bat and missing it is another option.
Are they playing all the first round qualifiers today as I can't find an OOP either.
I suppose Evo wouldn't have had to qualify if he had entered the tournament earlier or are the players in the maind draw ranked much higher than him?
I'm sure there will be a lot of pressure on him to do as well as he did a couple of weeks ago. Maybe when the main draw is published we'll see who he's up against. Is it likely to be a tougher event than the last two UK futures?
Now found a form of player list on the ITF site with rankings. It does look like a weaker field than Cumberland, but I am sure the change of surface will have an impact. Nice to hear he's good on clay as well. But if top world players have difficulty switching between clay and grass, surely it's an issue for the lower ranked players as well.
Also, the ITF has one match result posted, Simonsen def. Arcos. No idea why only that one match result has been put up. The ITF web site works in mysterious ways.
Congratulations to Evans, Flanagan and Brewer for getting through to the main draw. Bad luck though to Campbell who lost to Flanagan in the first qualifying round.
Looks like they all won their matches in straight sets apart from Brewer, who had a bit more of a fight on his hands, but none the less won through in the end albeit with what appears to be a retirement of his opponent in the third set.

Where have you got these results from
The official website says something totally different, as it has Brewer losing in the FQR and no sign of a retirement in his match
Main Draw (8) Matt Illingworth vs. Remko de Rijke (NED) (3) Edward Seator vs. (q) Thomas Kromann (DEN) (7) Dan Evans vs. James Feaver (q) Ian Flanagan vs. (q) Luis-Felipe Contreras (CHI)
Illingworth, Seator and Evans should all make the QF's here without much trouble (where Ed and Dan would meet), while Flan should win his opening match
This is the second time I've been caught out like this. Sorry folks.
I even printed out a copy of the results to ensure I got it right. The results I printed off no longer match what is now posted on the same web site. i.e. the AFT one. They must have posted the results incorrectly the first time. In future, I'll wait an hour or two to see if they change. :)
The only difference was the result of David Brewer's match.
Or better yet, leave them for someone else to post. :)
So, well done Evans and Flanagan, bad luck Campbell and Brewer.
No worries Gavin, these things happen regularly at this level. Results get posted, then changed, altered, mistakes are made etc.
Hope it doesn't put you off posting results in future, anyone else would have posted the same as you if they saw the results you did.

What a very friendly place this forum is. No, it wont put me off posting other results in the future, I'll just include a disclaimer next time.
What better place could there be to find out what all our tennis players are up to. I might only know who a few of them are at the moment, but that awareness has increased quite a bit in the last month or so. For my money, the Futures and Challenger events are just as interesting to follow as the main ATP tour.
