No, no FD, must have been the flight costs Edward was talking about!

Yeah, the flights were just a little too expensive, especially considering the clutch on my car broke this week, and that's going to cost a little bit to replace (fortunately almost everything else on the car has broken and been replaced in the last couple of years, so it's practically a new car, but with 110,000 miles on the clock!)

Field is far too weak for me anyway... wouldn't want to embarass all the players when I strolled to the title biggrin

Chris Harfield is lucky enough to have a relative who works in the airline industry so manages to get cheaper flights in order to get to all these tournaments. Its a shame that the LTA cant do deals with airlines in order to get guys to tournaments.

Hopefully Chris can qualify as really nice guy and deserves some luck

He had to wait for 72 tournaments! Congrats - he deserves it.

So you could say ...

72 tournaments of hurt never stopped Chris dreaming biggrin

Very well done to him, I had no idea he'd tried so many times. Bet he never thought that when he did it, he'd hand out such a thrashing, but drawing an unranked WC from Benin may well have figured in those dreams!

Atcually that gives me an idea - a table which gives the number of tournaments each British player had to play before getting their first main draw win (i.e. first point by right). Have to make one now...

That should keep you going for the next week or so, even I'm not that mad! LOL

It's 71 tournaments of hurt, of course, this is his 72nd. smile.gif

Haha, I'll only do it for the players who are ranked right now, so it shouldn't take that long. I did it for the top 10 and Boggo leads so far - 6 tournaments only.

You might like to record the age at which they got their first point while you're at it, since that's pretty relevant too.

Well done Chris, hopefully the second point won't be as long in coming!

Well done to Chris on finally getting his deserved ranking point, and hopefully he can build on it and score some more points!

Think Feaver may challenge for most tournaments played before getting a point, as he played an awful lot before he got a point, as it was at least 18 months of trying before he got a point
