Week 32 - Womens ITF (25K) - Hechingen, Germany

Carmen Klaschka surprisingly reached the final of the 25K event in Bad Saulgau today. That may look like a non sequitur in this thread, but it is the reason why Amanda Elliott just misses out on a place directly in the main draw (Klaschka is given a Special Exempt), and has to come through qualifying.

Amanda ELLIOTT (GBR) (1) BYE
Jana JANDOVA (CZE) Vs Katarzyna PITER (POL)
Mona BARTHEL (GER) Vs Danielle HARMSEN (NED)
Iveta GERLOVA (CZE) (9) BYE

That's a relief - she was in a very tough qualifying section.

Qualifiers have been placed. Amanda's opponent can be tricky on her day (former top 50) but she hasn't had many good days recently (though she reached a 75K QF last tournament). Schaul lost to Katie in Zagreb, so Amanda (who was there with Jens Gerlach) should be well prepared.

(7)Masa Zec-Peskiric (SLO) v (Q)Magdalena Kiszczynska (POL)
Amanda Elliott (GBR) v (Q)Claudine Schaul (LUX)
Yuliya Beygelzimer (UKR) v (wc)Kristina Steiert (GER)
(3)Sandra Martinovic (BIH) v (Q)Darija Jurak (CRO)
