With the qualies draw only hours away, I doubt that Bloomers will make the cut. Assuming that he is in New York now, it can't be a bad thing at all as the 2 points will come in handy and he'll get some court time.
Here's the seeding order of the players in the qualies list (others can join in, of course) -
Monroe 280 Bloomfield 286 Widom 288 Gard 296 Francis 302 Sitak 306
Berankis and Ignatik are names everyone will want to avoid.
Draw is okay. Millot is a decent player who beat Elias a few weeks ago but Rizza, a former college player, is in great form with his win over Guccione in Lexington.
What rotten luck again I could have predicted that draw (even if I cant predict the Cincy one!). It isn't just that they are drawn in same group, they are best mates from way back in junior days, doubles partners travelling together and both dislike playing each other in competition, assuming Ken beats the Brazilian of course, which he should.
Tournament Website looks promising, although I suspect they will update scores rather than live.

i think skupski could snath it against bloomers, on a couple of tie breaks i really want to no more about skupski, i late maturer maybe?
Perhaps yes, but also he did spend his late teens and very early twenties playing tennis at college in America - which would explain the absence of tournaments in that period, which I presume was what confused you!
Excellent news. Ken wins his 1st round match then receives a bye in the 2nd round because his opponent.....Richard Bloomfield has been upgraded to the main draw.
