L32: David Brewer WR 920 v (WC) Ahmed Moumni (MAR) UNR

Nice draw for David - Moumni is playing in his first main draw, though he has tended to win QR1 matches in his 5 previous attempts to get into Futures main draws before going out in QR2.

If he wins, he is likely to face no. 5 seed Reda el-Amrani (MAR) WR 553 who beat Edward Seator 5 & 2 on his way to winning Tunisia F2 last year then beat Slabba 6-7(1) 6-3 6-1 in the semis of Nigeria F3 before getting thrashed by him 1 & 3 in the QFs the following week.

What with Muzza and Baker winning too, quite a day for the Scots!

L16: David Brewer WR 920 v (Q) James Lemke (AUS) WR 1217

Lemke took out the no. 5 seed today but has been playing for a couple of years without managing to get into the top 1000 so hopefully David has a chance here. Lemke has only played a Brit once, beating Myles Blake 3 & 5 in 2006.

I do indeed, though I suppose at least that typo didn't stop the sentence being true!

and in the doubles, BREWER (GBR) / MCGAHON (IRL) (3) beat KELLY (USA) / MILLMAN (AUS) 6-4 7-5 in the first round, before suffering a disappointing 6-1 6-4 defeat against those pesky wildcards JEDDA (MAR) / MOUMNI (MAR) in round two.
