Petzschner has MP - Eaton up after that.

Bloomers wins 6-2, 6-0!!!

Excellent win, but something about it doesn't quite seem right for some reason... the very long break at 0-1 in the first set leads me to believe Oger was injured, but if not, then it's an amazing win.

Into round 3 now, and with Peya/Francis to come, Bloomers SHOULD qualify now....

Petzschner goes from 3-6, *2-4 BP's down, to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-1, so Eaton's about to go on court

Eaton holds to 30 to draw level at 1-1 first set.

And bravo Bloomers. Even if his opponent was injured, 2&0 is a great scoreline and hopefully he can go on to qualify and gain those valuable points.

Minar holds for 2-1* I have to say I'm not expecting Eaton to win this, Minar is a solid challenger level player, Eaton isn't. However, I have hope still!!

I'm not expecting Eaton to win either.... but I think he's got a chance.

Eaton's S/V works perfectly on these courts, while Minar's never played on grass before (and dropped a set to KJ Hippensteel who's practically retired because of injury, but played this for the money)

I was concerned for Richard knowing that he had a knee problem last week but I guess on this performance it must be OK now.

From today's newspaper - "I know I am in good form and this proves that," said Bloomfield, who is currently ranked down at 412 in the world. .........

..............."I know my ranking isn't as high as it could, be but I want to try and put that right by getting wins under my belt," he added. "The doubles should be exciting but I really want to get into the singles draw.

30-30...30-40...gah! Minar breaks back for 4-4 cry.gif Now Eaton needs to steer clear of the trend today and hold his next serve, not get broken for the set.

When there was the long delay at 0-1, the first thing I thought of was that Bloomers's knee had gone as he'd lost the game, plus we knew he was carrying an injury.

Looks like it's fine now though, and he must be loving the chance to qualify once he sees who he has to play next

Shame for Eaton to be broken back, but he's in the match at least
