RE: Week 25 - Wimbledon Qualifying ** QR3 starts P11 - 2 Brits still in **

It also has to be said that if there was more grass court touneys it is possible that some of the others would spend more time learning to play on it.

Anyone good luck to Bloomers and Chris, lets hope they can take this final step!!

thats true, but then they wouldnt be as good on clay would they smile.gif

i wasnt serious in that clay and grass should swap, but they should try and even it out at least as surely they are the 2 end of the scale.

@ Imo maybe in the future we will see the younger guys doing better on clay, the ones like ward and andy who went to spain will have a solid grounding on the surface, any maybe if the juniors are starting to train more at the NTC they will get to play on clay. But i think a lot of the players dont have access to clay when they are growing up, i belive boggo and slabba both trained a lot at a club called Globe in north london, which 6 cts 4 hard 2 astroturf i think but no clay, so i think there was no real chances for him to easily train on clay, and i am sure it was similar for a lot of the guys.

Bloomers loses 1st set 6-4

Never put any pressure on the Peya serve either

Bloomers leads 4-3* in the second set, but every game is going very easily with serve.

Bremond has match points in her match so Eaton should be on court soon

Damn!

Bloomers is broken....

Peya leads *5-4...

Looks like he's going to have to go 5 sets if he's to win this one

Just managed to get on here, it's not good news is it. I had high hopes for Bloomers here. I hope he's not still a bit injured if we need him to carry on for another three sets!
