Keothavong has a Feed Up into this, thanks to the tourney she won in Lebanon. It's nice of her to accept it as this frees up a wild card at Eastbourne.

Not that any of them are likely to turn up, but Katie is 19 places off the qualies draw, Mel 41 places, Tara Moore 175 and Janbaksh 184.
Sorry for that - wasn't thinking. Thanks for the edit, Madeline!
Does anyone know about Anne's plans regarding the Olympics? Will she take the WC if she is offered one? They gave an Aussie a WC last year, so it's not impossible that she will get one if she does well in the next few weeks!
The main draw is out and Anne has a plum, against a player who has not won a match on grass at WTA level (there should also be good memories as she beat Errani en route to the semis in Kolkata).
Elena Dementieva [RUS,1] - Bye Sara Errani [ITA] - Anne Keothavong [GBR] Mariya Koryttseva [UKR] - Arantxa Rus [NED, WC] Sorana Cirstea [ROU] - Maria Kirilenko [RUS,6]
Anne doesn't play Eastbourne, a selfless action that's rare in tennis, a sport where people normally care abut nothing but money (and that's okay). I think she deserves the good draw here for freeing up the WC.
Good luck and hopefully she'll make the most of it.
It's true, I really applaud her decision. It shows that she really cares about british tennis. I mean Andy can droan on about how lazy the other players are but what has he ever done for them? A lot of them just can't afford to go the route that he took. So yeah, hopefully she can do well. Will be nice to see her test herself against Dementieva. And considering it will be Elena's first match on grass, she could to well.

Have to agree, hope Anne wins to keep her good form going but realy can't see her getting past Dementieva in Rd 2 with all her experience. Maybe sneak a set but that's all.
Anne to serve at 2-3 down, both players have broken twice, which is weird. All sorts of weird things are happening there, though - like Granollers-Pujol leading a set 4-0 on grass.
